I finally met someone who does not manipulate me, who loves me for me, who listened and believed my story. Someone who loves me unconditionally with all my flaws and scars. I feel so grateful to have found him. Real love really does exist.
Healing is hard, but each day I try to be gentle and take care of myself through healthy eating and exercise. Nature is something that helps too. Being still sometimes and listening to the leaves rustling or looking up at the blue sky and watching the clouds.
I was sexually assaulted physically and verbally by several of my older sisters boyfriends. She never stood up for me or objected to their comments. Why? I feel so scarred because of this and often cover up parts of my body in public with an intense fear of being verbally assaulted again by men.
